Bad B*tches Suck D*ck !!!

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day was yesterday. Throughout the day people posted typical MLK quotes (especially the first one listed below). A few posted his speeches, and then of course Tumblr posted images in the 100’s.
For me, I like taking this day as a day to remember Dr. King in a real way to remember what he did. To my knowledge, I have no African American relatives in the last couple of centuries (most of my family hails from the British Isles; England/Ireland and Scotland). But that doesn’t mean his message doesn’t effect me.
There are many things I could post, instead I will post some of my favorites of the quotes that other people posted, and then I encourage you to do some more research. Go read some of his speeches, and read more about him.
“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”
“Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.”
“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”
“…only when it is dark enough can you see the stars.” (I’ve Been to the Mountaintop speech)
“I am convinced that if we are to get on the right side of the world revolution, weas a nation must undergo a radical revolution of values. We must rapidly beginthe shift from a “thing-oriented” society to a”person-oriented” society. When machines and computers, profitmotives and property rights are considered more important than people, thegiant triplets of racism, materialism, and militarism are incapable of beingconquered.A true revolution of values will soon cause us to question the fairness and justice ofmany of our past and present policies. n the one hand we are called to play thegood Samaritan on life’s roadside; but that will be only an initial act. Oneday we must come to see that the whole Jericho road must be transformed so thatmen and women will not be constantly beaten and robbed as they make theirjourney on life’s highway. True compassion is more than flinging a coin to abeggar; it is not haphazard and superficial. It comes to see that an edificewhich produces beggars needs restructuring. A true revolution of values willsoon look uneasily on the glaring contrast of poverty and wealth…. A nationthat continues year after year to spend more money on military defense than onprograms of social uplift is approaching spiritual death.”
“Whatever your life’s work is, do it well. A man should do his job so well that the living, the dead, and the unborn could do it no better.”
‎”True peace is not merely the absence of tension: it is the presence of justice.” MLK 1955
“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”
“I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear.”
